March 16-25, 2012
See lives transformed as God uses you to minister to those who need Jesus, just by painting a child's face, rocking a baby, serving a hot meal, or playing games with children. You will have the opportunity to reach someone only you can reach – to bless someone and in return be blessed. Most important – you will have the opportunity to stand with someone and pray with that one to receive Jesus Christ! And, in the end, you will have made a difference in the life of "one."

2010 New Orleans Mission Week Update
As you probably know, WOW has been spreading hope and blessings in the New Orleans area since it was devastated by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The WOW JAMS there have always been amazing, but 2010 was the first year we held a Mission Week and it was awesome! Fifteen representatives, including President Robert Flores, from Life Pacific Bible College spent their spring break participating in a powerful time of instruction/training, ministry, and devouring delicious Cajun food!
The Life Pacific interns heard from a number of different pastors from the New Orleans area, each bringing their own particular style of ministry to bless and challenge the team. After having their vessels filled up by our wonderful speakers, the team was ready to hand out flyers, work at the WOW JAMS, help at the baptisms and follow up on new believers.
3 WOW JAMS in New Orleans and 1 in Baton Rouge resulted in 6,400 people being blessed and 774 people being saved! At each site, the WOW truck was covered in gifts and prizes and the volunteers in the ministry tents poured out God’s love as they fixed bikes, prepared food, served sno cones, took family photos, painted faces, cut hair, and provided many other blessings-all for FREE! After a time of singing, games and prizes, Stephen powerfully preached a message of God’s love and salvation through Jesus Christ. Hundreds of people responded to each altar call and many received very personal ministry as the Lord revealed to Stephen areas that He wanted to minister to. Everyone who responded received ministry from our counselors as we prayed and distributed the new WOW JAM Bibles.
New Orleans Mission Week Testimonies:
Blake (Life Pacific intern)
I have been so impressed by the pastors that I’ve seen working down here-they actually get what ministry is all about. They are willing to work together and seek to build the body of Christ, no matter who gets the credit. Their example is something for me to build on and work towards because up ‘til now, I have basically seen a lot of competition in ministry. I have learned that often the best way to receive help is to give help to others.
Pastor Jimmy (Cornerstone Christian Center)
As part of the Kick Off Rally at Cornerstone Christian Center in Marrero, the Life Pacific interns prayed against violence in the area. Less than a few hours later, multiple gunshots were fired by two teenagers not far away. The policemen reported to us that, miraculously, no one was severely injured. WOW and these interns were here by divine direction, in the right place and at the right time.
Casey Bologna (Life Pacific student)
The phone calls and visitations were out of my comfort zone but two cool things came out of these opportunities this week. First, I called a family for visitation but actually reached them as they were headed to the hospital because the mom’s friend had a newborn that was not breathing. I was able to pray for the child and the family during that very difficult time. I had another great encounter when we visited a single mom who told me she had no transportation to church. I had the opportunity to encourage her to do what she could to lead her children to God with disciplines like praying and reading the Bible regularly.
