Quotes and Testimonies
"I am grateful for the opportunity to share ministry with these interns. This week has been a stretching week-I had to turn down 2 funerals but knew that I wanted to focus on WOW. The Life Pacific team is blessed to have this opportunity. WOW JAM is a catalyst for what is going on here on the Westbank [New Orleans]. I am grateful to WOW JAM that my people have the opportunity to serve the least, the lost, and the last. I minister in jails but our team members will minister freedom to [spiritual] prisoners who are walking the streets."

"Well, as you all know, this was a Jonah trip for me. I knew Lord told me to come to New Orleans but this awesome cruise opportunity came up with my friends. I mean, if there was a group of people that I would want to go on a cruise with, this was the group. However, I told God that if He provided the funds for the New Orleans trip, I would go. Of course, He did and I can’t imagine being anywhere else or being with anybody else. Every day of the trip has changed my life-every message from the speakers, too. My goal is to be a senior pastor and the pastors I have met this trip have directly influenced my leadership style. I have realized that I have been living selfishly, but no more. God has been telling me to go to Skid Row and that I will make a difference there but I’ve always blown it off and did something I wanted to do. That will all change when I get back."

"I have gone for 4 years now, and every year I have seen God do some incredible things, not only in the people that I have seen and met, but in myself. The first year I went my attitude started out a little scared and prideful at the same time. I thought I was going to be able to rely on my strength. God showed me real quick that I had to rely on him. The second year God taught me a lesson on tapping into his power through the word. The daily devotion time and worship time truly became my time to fill up with God. My third year God really worked on me as far as getting out of my comfort zone. The other years I focused so much on working that I lost sight of why we were there, to love on people. God really gave me some divine appointments on that trip, I met some awesome kids, and got the privilege to pray with them, God showed me that I need to still do work, but remember to love people in the process. This past year was my fourth time. It was probably one of the most impacting experiences, most of the trip I was on the supply truck, and didn't interact with the community that much. It taught me another important lesson, that prayer is one of the most powerful witnessing tools. I wasn't able to go and talk to the people but I was definitely able to pray for them, many of the people I prayed for I saw up at the altar. My most favorite experience out of all the trips had to be this past year, 2005 when I had the honor of baptizing people with my youth pastor. I got to see a lot of people that earlier in the week didn't know God. And to see the difference on their face was just awesome. I was able to pray life and blessings into these people, and it was a powerful time for me. I definitely plan on going again next year, and I look forward to seeing what God will teach me next."

"LA 2005 was my third year being in a WOW school. Each year has been better than the one before, but this year topped them all. Since there were only about 70 interns, the entire week was a lot more intimate. I was able to meet a lot of people and actually build upon those relationships over the week. The teachings were awesome and the worship was the best we've ever had, in my eyes. Our theme song for the week, non intentionally, was called True Intimacy. Every time we would worship, these words would empower me. "Here I am/ Waiting Lord/ Touch me now like never before/ Let me change and be transformed/ True intimacy is what I'm longing for". I can't describe how much those simple words can mean, simple as in they can just be said in a prayer to the Lord every morning as you wake up, or every time you're going through something tough and you need the Lord. WOW JAM is a life changing experience and it's worth every sacrifice."
